LAYING DOWN ON THE JOB - Charity Bed Race
There was bedlam on the streets of Burton recently when the members of Upper Trent's Trinity Club - together with local rugby club members and the British Tyre and Rubber Social Club - staged a sponsored bed push through the streets of the town. And as a result of the endeavors, Trinity Club Chairman Bernard Shand, divisional driver, presented a much needed infusion pump for the intensive care unit at Butron General Hospital. The three clubs had banded together to raise £1000 to buy the equipment - which was use in the control of intravenous treatment of the criiically ill patients - and the result of te bed push was to push the total over the target.
