Little Eaton & High Service
Construction at High Service Works c.1930s
This shot shows earth being tipped into the wagons from the excavator. The track leading out of the tank is on a ramp pf earth. In the background another track laid on a temporary embankment takes spoil to be dumped with two wagons being pushed by a small engine. The small hut in the middle of the field - is this a WC?

This photo locates this photo for certain. The earth spoil ramp is clearly visible on the Ordnance Survey map and is in a field to the North of High Service Works. The already completed reservoir beyond the 2 carts is the DV break pressure tank.
